Dr. Magdy Hammad is the President of the Lebanese International University at Beirut, since 2001. His professional career includes the appointments in the Office of H.E. the Minister of Information, Researcher (1970-1975) at the Center for Political and Strategic Studies, Security Expert columnist at Al Ahram Newspaper (1976 –1982), and Assistant Director at the Centre for Arab Unity Studies (1998 – 2001). He has also served as a diplomat at The League of the Arab States (1982 – 1997).
He is currently teaching at the American University at Cairo, the Lebanese International University, the African Research and Studies Institute, the Nasser Military High Academy and the Diplomatic Institute, Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
Dr. Hammad holds a Ph.D (1980), an MSc (1976) and a BSc (1970) in Political Sciences by the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences at Cairo University. He has published several books, articles and studies on Arab Affairs, Arab- Israeli Conflict, African Affairs and Indian Affairs.
